Our School Child Care Center
Our School Child Care provides children age 3 through fifth grade with a safe nurturing environment where they can have fun and grow with other children and adults. Our staff works with both school and family to create a comfortable but structured place to promote your child’s growth through social interaction, intellectual development, and physical and emotional expression. Each member of the child care staff is dedicated to working with each child in positive and supportive ways to provide the best opportunities for growth and learning. Our programs meet all Washington State licensing requirements for child care centers.
Child Care is available for Gig Harbor Academy students and to children in the greater Gig Harbor community. District provided transportation is available to Artondale Elementary students.
Childcare Program Goals
- To conduct a program that is concerned with the growth and development of your child intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.
- To provide a program that encourages your child’s self respect in an atmosphere where children can explore their own ideas and values, begin to understand their own potential, and to practice making responsible decisions.
- For our staff to be role models for the children in our care by demonstrating age-appropriate behavior management techniques and to be a resource and support to parents.
Childcare Hours
Before school child care: 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM
Enrichment/Mid-day Program: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
After school child care: 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM
Care provided throughout the day: 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM
