  1. WHAT IS THE GHA NOW! ANNUAL FUND? WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

    The GHA NOW! Annual Fund supports the school's operating budget for the current school year (2011-2012) by bridging the gap between tuition revenues and operating expenses. As at most independent schools, tuition alone does not support the full cost of teachers' salaries, classroom materials, and other operational costs at Gig Harbor Academy. Our donations to the Annual Fund ensure that our children have the financial support required for their education this year. The impact is NOW!

  2. WHY SHOULD I GIVE TO THE GHA NOW! ANNUAL FUND?

    Third GradeThe gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating a student differs between grade levels, but every child benefits with monies brought in from the Annual Fund. Relying on the Annual Fund minimizes tuition increases for all students. Donations to the Annual Fund are tax deductible. When we give to GHA, we show that we value our children's energy, enthusiasm, and effort within this unique community of learners. Every gift makes a difference for our kids.

  3. WHAT IS OUR GOAL?

    Obviously the amount of revenue raised by the Annual Fund is important, but our primary goal is 100% participation.

  4. HOW MUCH SHOULD I GIVE?

    Over the last two years Annual Fund donations have ranged from $5 to $5000 with an average gift of approximately $550. Nearly a quarter of donors last year gave $1000 or more! Every family is encouraged to contribute at a level that reflects their ability to give. Every gift, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated and important to our success. The only gift that is too small is no gift at all. When determining your donation amount, please consider whether you could “Work a day for GHA” and donate the amount of one day’s income to the Annual Fund.

  5. HOW DO I MAKE A GIFT?


    ONLINE: Click Here

    MAIL: Complete the card contained in the Annual Fund brochure and mail cash, check, or credit card information to Gig Harbor Academy at 6820 32nd St NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335. Responses may also be hand-delivered to the school office.

    GHA ACCOUNT: Indicate on your response card or online that you wish your donation to be charged to your GHA Account as either a lump sum or monthly installment.

    PHONE: Call Paul Hoover in the Business Office at (253) 265-2150 with your information.

    MATCHING GIFTS: If your employer has a program for matching charitable gifts, please contact your program administrator to designate funds for GHA.

  6. WHO CAN GIVE?

    We encourage families, grandparents, faculty/staff, board members, alumni, and businesses to give to the GHA NOW! Annual Fund, but essentially anybody can give. Businesses will be recognized for their generous support with acknowledgement on the  weekly e-newsletter.

  7. WHAT ARE THE IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE GHA NOW! ANNUAL FUND?

    Child with ArtAlthough the 2011-2012 Annual Fund is open for donations until June 30, 2012, the pledge drive, during which we actively solicit funds, runs October 3-December 2, 2011. A gift or pledge made during the pledge drive significantly improves the school’s ability to budget and meet cash flow demands since all money given to the Annual Fund is spent during the current academic year. Gifts are welcome at any time, and all gifts made prior to June 30, 2012 will be credited to the 2011-2012 campaign. Make your gift by December 31, 2011 to deduct the donation on 2011 taxes.
