Kindergarten

Kindergarten is an exciting year at Gig Harbor Academy. GHA Kindergarteners are encouraged to go deeper into their thinking and perception of the world around them, beyond academics. The program focuses on helping students further develop independence, self-confidence, and curiosity through a student-centered, inquiry-based approach. GHA immerses children in a safe, nurturing, loving and caring environment so that each student feels courageous enough to make mistakes and persevere all year long.

Kristin Sutich

Kristen Sutich, Kindergarten Teacher
Kristen Sutich, Kindergarten Teacher Kristen is a seasoned lower-elementary teacher having taught kindergarten through second grade more than 20 years. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders. After working for a short time as a Speech-Language Therapist Assistant, she attended St. Martin’s University and obtained her K-8 teaching certificate. In her spare time Kristen enjoys taking walks and hikes in the outdoors.
